The conference will expand in the 2024 season, adding former Pac-12 teams USC, UCLA, Oregon and Washington. It makes the Nittany Lions' efforts for a Big Ten title all the more difficult. Fortunately for them, they face only one opponent they lost to last season: Ohio State. And, that game will be at home. Penn State hasn't won that rivalry since 2016, but hosting it at Beaver Stadium is a boost.
QB Drew Allar will return for his third season in State College. In his first season starting, he recorded a conference-high 25 touchdowns and a conference-low two interceptions. Fans can surely expect more out of the Ohio-native this time around.
While Penn State won't face the defending CFP champions, it will face runner-up Washington a week after hosting the Buckeyes. The journey to Indianapolis won't be easy. But if the Nittany Lions can work their way through the 2024 schedule, they will have proved themselves worthy at a Big Ten championship.
